I watched the TV and saw the destruction made by Hurricane Frances in Florida.

My heart goes out to all those who suffered. I pray that relief will get to them in time.

What is the best way to build a representative government in a country.

I think the most basic requirement is to educate the citizens as much as possible. When the people are educated, they can discern what is good and what is bad, they will know how to get the information they need to make the correct choice.

A representative government (which is a true democracy) is meaningless if we have bad representatives.

The people who rule the country in the name of the people should be educated, fair, just and not greedy for wealth or power. They should be more interested to serve the interests of the people rather than serving their own interests. Here I am not talking about any particular country but in general.

The only way to educate the people is to make sure that the education system is working well.

That is why helping the people achieve their educational goals is a very good way of helping a country to establish a democratic state.
